Hypnotherapy is a therapy that uses hypnosis. The therapist will use a variety of techniques to induce hypnosis or a trance like state where your body becomes deeply relaxed but your mind will remain active. The therapist and client work together to make the changes that have been suggested by the client. Therefore as a client you will be in total control throughout the session. Your mind experiences states and situations like this naturally in your daily life. Examples of this include states of daydreaming, or occasions when you realise you have done something automatically but yet you cannot remember completing the activity or task.

During hypnosis the client remains in total control at all times. You may experience a heavy or light sensation but will remain totally relaxed. It is during this relaxed state that the conscious mind also relaxes, giving the sub-conscious mind opportunity to become more open to suggestions, therefore supporting the client to make positive changes to their feelings, behaviours and life. Hypnotherapy is a Holistic therapy that can be used to support any aliment or condition of the body or mind.

As part of the hypnotherapy sessions you may be shown some strategies to complete between each therapy treatment session. These strategies are intended to support you, your condition and the changes you want to make in your life.

As with all Holistic and Complementary Therapy Session, Hypnotherapy is not intended to take the place of conventional medical care or advice. Please consult your doctor if you are concerned about your health.
